Summer is Here!

Summer is here - and it is hot!  In between running children to camps and cooling off at the pool, we hope that you are taking time for yourself during this busy season.  Of course, a visit to The Woodhouse Day Spa is a great way to start!  Or better yet, purchase a series during the summer months to maintain a beautiful pedicure.  We are always ready to help you relax!

We have put together a list of at-home ideas for you to add in to your relaxation ritual during this busy time of year.  Try a few of them - or try all of them! 
  • Stay hydrated!  Float several slices of your favorite fruit (think lemon, lime, cucumber) in a pitcher of iced water, and sip all day long.  Or include a glass of wine or green tea.
  • Be intentional about your alone-time.  That means unplug from all of your electronic devices, and don't think about your to-do lists during this time.
  • Bathe.  Light a candle and add some essential oils and epsom salts to the bathwater.  Take some time to exfoliate, shave, moisturize.  Slow down.
  • Entertain yourself.  While you wait for your facial mask to soak in, pick up your favorite novel or turn on that soothing music.  Read about the benefits of massage.  It's all part of the relaxation plan.
As you start to include these tips into your daily schedule, you will soon realize how important it is to take time for your health and well-being.  We want to be a part of this journey every step of the way!
